While other skiing resorts are closing their gates and and pistes are turning into green meadows, the season is only beginning in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein! On April 24, 2012, the first action shooting of the summer took place on the park’s Medium- and Pro-Line. The riders really put the park setup to the test and both the longstanding and the new elements, such as the Tripple-Kinked-Rail, were under attack by a heavy trick gunfire. We’ve talked to the “Dachstein Insiders” Flo Galler and Dominik Sagmeister about the park setup and the first shooting:

How do you like the Medium/ Pro Line, park designer Andi Röck has created in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein?

Flo: “The park in general is really cool and it will be modified once more for the QParks Tour Finals. The setup will be real sick, that’s for sure. My personal favorite is the 3-Jumps-Line, as the speed between the individual jumps is just perfect.”

Dominik: “They did a great job on the Pro Kicker Line, the jumps are a bit smaller than last year but it´s the perfect size for the summer! The Rail Line is a real beauty, maybe a bit too difficult for everyone but very varied and fun to ride. For the beginners, the Medium/ Beginner area offers a perfect setup for practicing. The lines are challenging and creative at the same time and there is something for every taste.”

The Dachstein keeps its gates open throughout the summer. What separates this park in your opinion?

Flo: „The coolest thing about the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein is that you don’t have to wait long at the lift entrance. Even if you arrive late at the park, you can still do a lot runs. Also, it is a great place to meet friends and shred at a relaxed paced at mostly perfect weather.”

Dominik: “It´s a Jib heaven, 4 different rails in one line, what else could you want?!  But what´s really special about the Dachstein is the unique atmosphere, everybody knows everybody and having fun is the most important thing. Sun, snow and chill, that’s the Dachstein!”

How would you describe the mood at the shooting?

Flo: „The action shooting was a really laid-back session, there weren’t many people in the park and the weather was perfect, too, for a park session. All the riders were highly motivated and eager to fully savour these great conditions.”

Dominik: “It was a laid-back session with a couple of friends at finest weather conditions. I had a very nice and mellow skiing day with the boys, actually, I didn´t even realize that there was a shooting.”

Is the Horsefeathers Superpark ready for summer and for the QParks Tour Finals?

Flo: “With the modification, the park is definitely prepared for a gripping QParks Tour Finals and a sick summer season!”

Dominik: “The park is definitely ready! Andi and his crew did an excellent job this spring and created an amazing fun park. The kicker line is madness and I can´t wait for the contest!”

What are your plans for the impending summer? Are you going to sit back and relax or are you going to shred on the Dachstein throughout the summer?

Flo: “As I am in possession of a season pass, I will definitely be up on the Dachstein after the QParks Tour Finals to shred on in summer. Naturally, I will try to visit the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein on a regular basis alongside my studies.”

Dominik: “There is only one speed for me and that´s full speed! I will definitely continue riding the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein after the QParks Tour Finals ´cause it is so much fun to shred at 25 degrees, slush and t-shirt.”
