The conditions for the Plan P 2011 couldn’t have been any better: bluebird, a perfectly shaped setup and high class freestyle action! Over 70 highly motivated snowboarders and freeskiers rocked the Horsefeathers Superpark Planai and battled for a nice prize money of EUR 3000.- and loads of goodies from Horsefeathers, Blue Tomato and Adidas Eyewear!

FREESTYLE ACTION DELUXE ON THE MEDIUM AND PRO LINE

The extremely high riding level could already be noticed at the qualification runs! All riders had the choice between the medium and pro lines, as the mode was “best of two runs”. The medium line consisted of a kicker combo with 4 kickers, each including 2 take offs between 5 to 8 meters. Additionally, all riders could show their jib skills at the triple-picknick-table-combo in the middle of the medium line. All hypermotivated riders dropped directly into the pro line and rocked the two monster kickers with 15-23 meter tables. Due to the high level of the snowboard and freeski rookies the judges decided to give the best five of each category the chance to compete with the “oldies” in the finals.

AND THE WINNERS ARE…

The best 10 freeskiers and 10 snowboarders including the rookies battled subsequently in the finals for the title! In the category snowboard men the 17-year-old Viktor Szigeti convinced with his stylish moves and won before Benni Mösl and the Slovenian Rakovec Ziga. The 15-year-old Flo Prietl could grab the title in the snowboard rookie competition, followed  by Maschl Julian and Pils David. In the freeski competition the Schladming home boy Alex Moser could defend his title and  is for the second time “King” of the Plan P, Max Brandauer and Tobi Tritscher got second and third. Also the freeski rookies showed massive tricks and rocked the finals. At the end Lukas Eisl succeeded, Gerhardt Julius and Noiges Severin on second and third place. But also the girls did not hesitate to jump the medium kicker lines, thumbs up for the winner of the girls snowboard competition Klara Dinolds and  Maria Blersch, winner girls freeski.

Not only riders, but also all other freestyle fans and spectators could enjoy a nice side program. The jib line was opened for everybody, people could test for free the new snowboard models of Antero Snowboarding and to warm up cold fingers Horsefeathers provided the crowd with warm “Glühwein”.

All in all the first Qparks Tour stop in the new year was a full success! Check out the whole results of the Plan P and the current QParks Tour ranking! Also check out the Plan P gallery!
